Summary

Nursery Manager – Oxford Area

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £45,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)
Location: Oxfordshire
Setting Size: Around 40 children & 15 staff members

About the Role:

Lead and inspire a dedicated team of 15 practitioners in delivering outstanding Early Years provision for over 40 children. This non-ratio, non-office-based role focuses predominantly on developing staff practice and enhancing the quality of provision on a daily basis.

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • Level 3 or above in Early Years/Childcare (UK recognised)
  • Proven experience in nursery management or senior leadership
  • Strong understanding of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage all aspects of nursery operations
    • Develop and mentor staff through coaching, observations, and training
    • Ensure consistently high-quality EYFS provision across all rooms
    • Maintain compliance with Ofsted standards and safeguarding requirements
    • Build strong partnerships with parents, families, and external agencies
    • Oversee curriculum planning and child development tracking
    • Manage health & safety, policies, and procedures
    • Focus on continuous improvement of staff practice and provision
    • Support recruitment and staff development
    • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead
