Summary
Volteam Recruitment is looking for a compassionate and reliable Care Home Assistant to join our dedicated team in London.
In this role, you will support residents with their daily activities while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing in a safe and caring environment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others and wants to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care such as washing, dressing, and grooming
Support residents with mobility and safe movement
Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration where required
Provide companionship and emotional support
Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report any concerns to senior staff
Maintain accurate care records and documentation
Help keep residents’ rooms and communal areas clean and safe
Follow all care plans, safeguarding procedures, and health & safety policies
Requirements
Caring, patient, and compassionate nature
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to treat residents with dignity and respect
Basic English and record-keeping skills
Previous care experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
Desirable
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
Experience working in a care home, nursing home, or support role
Knowledge of safeguarding and elderly care
Full training and ongoing support
