Summary

Pastoral Support – Secondary Schools (Northampton)

Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives?

Link3 Recruitment are working in partnership with a secondary school in Northampton that is opening a new Alternative Provision (AP) after Easter, and we are seeking dedicated Pastoral Support Staff to join this exciting and impactful setting.

This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to supporting students’ emotional, social, and behavioural needs, helping them to re-engage with education and reach their full potential.

The Role

Provide targeted pastoral and emotional support to students across the secondary school
Work closely with teaching staff, SEN teams, and leadership to support pupils within the AP provision
Build positive, trusting relationships with young people who require additional guidance
Be flexible and proactive in supporting students across different areas of the school when needed

The Ideal Candidate

Has previous experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting
Holds a qualification in SEN, or is working towards one (desirable)
Psychology graduates are strongly encouraged to apply
Is resilient, patient, and passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
Able to adapt to the needs of the school and support where required

DBS:
All applicants must hold an Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one prior to starting work.
