Summary
Our client, a well-established family-run car dealer group and franchise-approved repair centre in Ton Pentre, is looking to recruit a highly skilled Vehicle Technician.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional to join a busy and reputable Service Department. The Vehicle Technician will be responsible for fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs, ensuring they meet manufacturer standards and customer expectations.
Benefits:
- Salary ranging from £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- Monthly performance-based bonus scheme, approximately £400 (£4,800 annually)
- Overtime available at enhanced rates, paid at time and a half
- 22 days annual leave, increasing to 23, 24, and 25 days after 1, 3, and 5 years of service, plus 8 bank holidays
- Full manufacturer-accredited training to support professional development

- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Duties:
- Perform fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards as a Vehicle Technician
- Ensure faults are accurately diagnosed and report conditions related to vehicle safety, reliability, and performance
- Adhere to quality procedures and safety standards throughout all work as a Vehicle Technician
- Utilise diagnostic equipment effectively to identify vehicle issues
- Maintain high standards of workmanship in a busy dealership environment
- Contribute to team targets and workshop efficiency
Requirements:
- IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- At least 1-2 years of post-qualification experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Full UK driving licence with minimal points
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and working well within a team
- Experience with vehicle diagnosis, electronics, or light commercial vehicles is advantageous but not essential
- Motivated individual with good attention to detail
