Summary

Our client, a reputable franchise-approved repair centre in Ton Pentre, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department. The Vehicle Technician is pivotal to delivering exceptional service and repairs, and our client is looking for someone with a strong background in vehicle maintenance. Benefits:

- Salary between £30,000 and £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- Monthly bonus scheme averaging around £400 (£4,800 per year)
- Overtime available at time and a half, paid additionally

- Enhanced holiday entitlement: starting at 22 days plus bank holidays, increasing after 1, 3, and 5 years of service

Duties as a Vehicle Technician:

- Perform fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs as per manufacturer and client standards
- Identify vehicle faults accurately and report findings to the Service Manager
- Ensure all repairs meet high-quality standards and safety guidelines
- Follow all quality procedures and manufacturer protocols diligently
- Maintain detailed records of all work completed on each vehicle
- Conduct vehicle safety checks, assessments, and test drives when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure workshop efficiency and excellent customer service

Requirements:

- Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- At least one to two years’ post-qualification experience preferred
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- Committed to producing high-quality work with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed
- An active MOT Smart Card and experience with vehicle electronics, diagnostics, or light commercial vehicles would be advantageous but are not essential
