As part of our ongoing mission to strengthen services and systems, we are looking for an experienced Tester to join our dynamic Programme and Project Management team.
The Role
As a Tester, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the quality and success of our transformation programme. Reporting into the Test Lead, you will be responsible for executing test plans, identifying issues, and ensuring that new systems and processes meet both business and regulatory standards. Your work will directly contribute to the delivery of reliable, user-friendly solutions that support our mission to deliver excellence in childcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Document and track defects, working with developers and analysts to resolve issues
- Validate that system and process changes meet childcare regulatory and safeguarding standards
- Support business stakeholders during UAT, capturing feedback and ensuring smooth adoption
- Provide clear test documentation and progress reporting in line with governance requirements
Skills & Experience
- Experience in software or systems testing, ideally in a transformation programme
- Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- A detail-oriented and methodical approach with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
- An understanding of the childcare, education, or social care sector (desirable)
- ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent (preferred)
Why Join Compass Community?
- Be part of a once-in-a-generation transformation that will impact lives for the better
- Work with a passionate, values-driven team
- Benefit from professional development opportunities, flexible working, and a supportive culture
- Contribute your expertise to a sector where quality and safety truly matter
