We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst - Charles River with strong expertise in Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) to support front-to-back investment lifecycle processes. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, portfolio managers, compliance teams, and technical teams to deliver high-quality business solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):
Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and system requirements for CRIMS implementations, upgrades, and enhancements
Configure, customize, and support Charles River modules including Trading, Compliance, Portfolio Management, Order Management System (OMS), IBOR, and Risk modules
Support integration of CRIMS with external systems such as custodians, brokers, market data providers (Bloomberg, Reuters), accounting systems, and risk platforms
Design and support data mapping, data migration, and ETL processes
Work with development teams on API integrations, FIX protocol implementations, and middleware solutions
Assist in defining and executing test strategies including SIT, UAT, regression, and automation testing
Develop test cases, test scripts, and validation scenarios for trade lifecycle and compliance workflows
Validate trade execution flows, allocations, settlements, and compliance rule enforcement
Support release management, deployment planning, and change management processes
Provide production support, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and resolve system issues
Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II, EMIR, SEC, FCA, Dodd-Frank
Maintain detailed documentation including process diagrams, system workflows, data dictionaries, and training manuals
Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
Monitor system performance and suggest improvements for scalability, performance, and efficiency
Stay updated with CRIMS platform upgrades, financial regulations, and emerging fintech trends

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed
(The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
6-10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with strong exposure to Charles River IMS (CRIMS)
Experience in buy-side asset management, wealth management, or investment banking environments
Strong understanding of the full investment lifecycle (order creation to settlement and reporting)
Advanced configuration of CRIMS modules (Trading, Compliance, OMS, Portfolio Management, IBOR)
Expertise in compliance rule coding, restrictions, guideline monitoring, and pre/post-trade compliance
Experience with Charles River Data Model, Security Master, and Portfolio structures
Hands-on experience with FIX Protocol (FIX 4.x/5.x)
Experience with REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, microservices architecture
Middleware tools such as MuleSoft, TIBCO, IBM MQ, Kafka
Integration with Bloomberg, Reuters, FactSet, Markit, custodians, and clearing systems
Strong SQL skills (complex queries, joins, stored procedures, performance tuning)
Experience with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
Experience in data warehousing, ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS)
Data reconciliation, data governance, and data quality frameworks
Familiarity with Python, Java, or C# for data analysis and automation
Scripting knowledge in Shell, PowerShell
Experience with automation frameworks and tools
Expertise in UAT coordination, SIT execution, defect lifecycle management
Experience with test management tools (Jira, TestRail, HP ALM, Zephyr)
Knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Postman)
API testing and validation
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
Version control systems (Git, Bitbucket)
Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
Strong experience in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies
Tools: Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project
Experience in backlog management, sprint planning, and story estimation
Strong knowledge of financial instruments: Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX, Options, Futures
Understanding of risk management, P&L, NAV calculations, and performance attribution
Exposure to accounting systems and reconciliation processes
In-depth understanding of MiFID II, EMIR, SEC, FCA, Basel III, Dodd-Frank
Experience implementing regulatory reporting and compliance controls

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or equivalent.
