Summary
About the role:
- Provide one-to-one or small group tuition to students with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs
- Deliver tailored lessons that support academic progress and personal development
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles and needs
- Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure consistent support
- Monitor and report on student progress
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Relevant teaching or tutoring experience (QTS is desirable but not essential)
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
