Summary
RCCG Amazing Grace Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire, England seeks to employ a Minister of Religion (Pastor-Young Adults). The candidate should be a Born-Again Spirit Filled Christian, a believer who must have gone through Worker’s in training process. Understand the statement of faith (Tenets) of RCCG. Evidence of training and on-going spiritual development will be required if invited to attend an interview.
Reporting to: Parish Pastor (Operational Leadership)
Responsibilities
Teaching bible studies with special emphasis on biblical evangelism and discipleship of young adults
Conduct evangelism and prayer meetings.
Co-ordinate the Young adult ministry of the church.
Organize revival and evangelistic programs for the Church.
Engage in prayer and fasting with a view to build spiritual covering for the church.
Assist the Pastor where possible during or after church ministration and serving Holy Communion.
The skill, experience and qualifications required for the post.
Essential:
(i)The Person must subscribe to the tenets of Faith of the Redeemed Christian church of God (RCCG) worldwide
(ii) Must have a qualification from RCCG School of Disciples or RCCG Bible College
(iii) Must have at least a Higher National Diploma
(iv) Must have had previous experience of working with the young adults within the RCCG or any evangelical church
(v) Must have certificate of competence in Pastor’s induction course conducted by the RCCG or be willing to undertake the training
(vi) Must have verifiable 2-years work experience in a job that involves intensive interaction with people regularly.
(vii) Must be computer literate to intermediate skill level (Microsoft Office Suites)
(viii) Must be willing to undertake missionary work and travels within UK and overseas
(ix) Candidate must be a Born-Again Christian and must be able to describe their Salvation experience.
*Desirable*:
Previous experience in young adult ministry. Familiarity with African / Black-majority church and culture.
