Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Urgent Care centre of North West Anglia NHS Trust, Hinchingbrooke Hospital. We are looking to recruit band 2 HCAs into our 19 bedded Acute Assessment Unit and Ambulatory Care Unit. We are looking for HCAs with experience of working in an acute hospital setting.

Applicants will need a dynamic, flexible, hardworking, and passionate approach to delivering high quality patient care. You will have the opportunity to work in all areas of the department, supported by the Matron and Divisional Head of Nursing.

To assist registered nursing staff in providing a high standard of nursing care within the ACU and AAU. To act as support to the ward clerk and nursing to provide administration and organisational duties.

The HCA in ACU/AAU will be required to communicate with all disciplines; medical, nursing and allied services and specialities in order to affect the right outcome for the patient. They will liaise closely with their line manager and all trained nurses in ACU/AAU. The HCA will co-ordinate with the Ward Clerk to ensure booking and notes are correct for each patient.
