Applications are invited for the above post in the newly formed North West Anglia NHS Trust (NWAFT). Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust formally merged with Hinchingbrooke Hospital on 1st April 2017, to form the new Trust (on 3 sites). This is a fixed term post based to cover maternity leave at Hinchingbrooke Hospital. It is expected to end 17th November 2026.

This appointment will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of service for the 2003 consultant contract (England).

Peterborough and Hinchingbrooke Maternity Departments have been rated as ‘Good’ by CQC in June 2023. They have fully equipped obstetric and midwifery led birthing units, fetal medicine scanning and high risk obstetric services in addition to high quality modern inpatient and outpatient Gynaecology services. The Maternity IT system is K2 with all 3 modules- Antenatal, Intrapartum and Postnatal.

The standard job plan is of 10 programmed activities (PAs). The job plan does not have any out of hours on call activities.

Applications are welcome from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

It is expected that the successful candidate will be based on one site but there may be a need for working across sites in the future depending on unit needs.
