Summary

⏰ Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

About the Role
Our client, a well-established builders merchant, is currently looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking FLT / Yard Operative to join their busy site based in LS12. This is a great opportunity to secure long-term work with consistent hours in a fast-paced yard environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently

  • Loading and unloading vehicles

  • Picking and preparing orders for dispatch

  • Assisting customers and delivery drivers within the yard

  • Providing a friendly and professional service when dealing with customers on-site

  • Communicating clearly with customers to help locate and load materials

  • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment

  • Supporting general yard duties as required

  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations

✅ Requirements

  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)

  • Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or builders merchant environment (preferred)

  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling

  • Confident communicating with customers and providing good service

  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player

  • Good communication skills
