Summary

CNC Router Machinist

Location: Leicester

Salary: Up to £17.00ph

Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-13:00

Overtime: Time + ½

Duration: Temp to Perm

The Role:

As a CNC Router Machinist, you will be responsible for producing high‑quality bespoke parts using CNC routing machinery. This is a hands-on manufacturing role working with a variety of materials including MDF, timber and panel-based components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and operate CNC router machines
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists
  • Carry out routine machine maintenance and tool changes
  • Conduct quality checks on finished components
  • Running pre-programmed jobs and making minor adjustments where required
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience setting and operating a CNC router in joinery, woodworking, or manufacturing
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and cutting diagrams
  • Confident with tooling and machine set up
  • Strong understanding of woodworking
  • High attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
