        The Role

        This position is ideal for an experienced RVN seeking progression into senior nursing leadership while maintaining hands-on clinical responsibilities. You will work closely with veterinary surgeons and the nursing leadership team to ensure exceptional clinical standards, excellent patient care, and a positive working environment.

        The role combines clinical nursing with leadership responsibilities, supporting team development and operational efficiency.

        Key Responsibilities

        Leadership & Team Support

        • Lead, mentor and support members of the nursing team
        • Assist with rota coordination and daily workflow management
        • Promote a collaborative and supportive team culture
        • Act as a key point of contact within the clinical team

          Clinical Duties

          • Remain actively involved in surgical, inpatient and consult nursing
          • Maintain high standards of patient care and client communication
          • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and best practice standards
          • Support accreditations and RCVS Practice Standards Scheme compliance

            Training & Development

            • Support student veterinary nurse training and development
            • Encourage utilisation of full RVN skill sets
            • Contribute to clinical audits and continuous improvement initiatives

              Operational Responsibilities

              • Assist with stock control and equipment maintenance
              • Support implementation and review of practice policies and procedures
