Summary
Lead on setting, monitoring, and maintaining high standards of clinical care. Provide clinical advice where practice may affect standards of care. Provide leadership and guidance to clinicians within the service. Support staff in managing complex, challenging, or distressing clinical situations. Act as a professional role model, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in child and adolescent mental health practice. Supervise, support, and mentor junior staff members. Provide mentorship and guidance for students and support their learning objectives in collaboration with the Clinical Placement Facilitator. Maintain oversight of the Hub duty rota and provide support to junior colleagues when required. Work with the Service Manager to ensure effective clinical governance processes and quality assurance of care. Communicate sensitive and complex information to young people and their families in a compassionate and appropriate manner. Provide consultation and professional advice to other professionals within the CYPS division. Ensure outcome measures are implemented, monitored, and audited across the team. Contribute to research activities and promote evidence-based interventions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding legislation, child protection procedures, and relevant policies. Lead the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols within the service.
