Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking a committed and resilient Nurture Teacher who is passionate about supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs to achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role within the Transition Department, delivering high-quality, personalised teaching in a structured and nurturing environment. You will be instrumental in driving student progress, supporting both academic and personal development, and fostering confidence, resilience and positive engagement with learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the diverse academic, social and emotional needs of all learners.

• Take responsibility for raising student progress and achievement, tracking out comes and implementing targeted interventions.

• Create and maintain a safe, structured and nurturing environment that supports wellbeing, behaviour and engagement.

• Contribute to the development and delivery of a broad, balanced and appropriately differentiated curriculum.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals while modelling high standards of professionalism.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant teaching qualification.

• Experience working with students with SEMH needs and managing challenging behaviour effectively.

• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies, nurture principles and behaviour management approaches.

• Ability to plan, deliver and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs and support student progress.

• Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
