We are looking for a resilient and dedicated IT Teacher who is passionate about supporting students with social, emotional and mental health needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver engaging and adaptive IT lessons within a structured and supportive environment, helping students to build confidence, independence and essential digital skills. You will play a key role in promoting positive engagement with learning, fostering resilience, and preparing students for life beyond education through the safe and effective use of technology.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver differentiated IT lessons to meet the diverse needs of SEMH students.
• Develop and implement individualised learning plans.
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Utilise a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote digital literacy.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support student development.
Key Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant qualification in IT, Computing or a related subject.
• Experience of delivering engaging and differentiated IT/Computing lessons across a range of abilities.
• Strong subject knowledge, including programming, digital literacy and online safety.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and support student progress.
