We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of History to join our outstanding Sixth Form College. The successful candidate will inspire and motivate learners, fostering a culture of high expectations, academic excellence, and inclusive practice.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across A-Level History, planning and delivering engaging lessons, and supporting students to reach their full potential through effective assessment, tracking, and targeted intervention. You will contribute to curriculum development, maintain accurate student records, and actively engage in the wider life of the College, including parents’ evenings, open events, and cross-college initiatives. The ability to teach Politics or Philosophy as a second subject would be an advantage and would further enhance our broad and enriching curriculum offer.The college offers a Modern History A-level and an Early Modern History A-level. The postholder will teach on both of these courses and confidence within the medieval and early modern periods would be an advantage.

We are looking for a reflective and committed practitioner with strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a passion for post-16 education. You will have experience of raising achievement and supporting learners of all abilities, alongside a proactive and collaborative approach to professional development and teamwork.
