We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead a specialist residential children’s home, providing high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs.

About the Service

Set in the peaceful area of PR3 on the edge of the stunning Forest of Bowland, this unique home offers a nurturing, family-style environment for young people aged 8–18.

This 5-bed, mixed-gender home is designed to provide a safe, supportive space where children can feel valued, understood, and empowered to reach their full potential. A skilled and compassionate team works collaboratively to support each young person’s individual journey.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

Developing and implementing tailored care plans for each young person
Building, leading, and retaining a strong, stable staff team
Ensuring high-quality care standards aligned with regulatory frameworks
Promoting a positive, safe, and nurturing culture within the home
Managing safeguarding concerns, complaints, and inspections effectively
Working collaboratively with families, professionals, and stakeholders
Driving continuous improvement with the goal of achieving “Outstanding” Ofsted ratings
Managing budgets and ensuring effective commercial performance
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

Passionate about improving outcomes for children in care
Experienced in residential childcare (minimum 2 years, including 1 year in a leadership role within the last 5 years)
Qualified to Level 3 in Children’s Residential Care (essential)
Ideally holding or willing to work towards Level 5 in Leadership & Management
Knowledgeable in Ofsted regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding
A confident leader with strong organisational and communication skills
Experienced in supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
A full UK driving licence holder
