Are you a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role within a supportive primary school environment?

We are working with a welcoming primary school in Culcheth who are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child with autism. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity where you will play a key role in helping a young learner access education in a way that suits their individual needs.

The Role:
- Providing 1:1 support for a child with autism within the early years setting
- Supporting the child both in the classroom and within sensory rooms and breakout spaces
- Helping the child regulate emotions and engagement when they find the mainstream environment challenging
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow EHCP targets
- Encouraging communication, social interaction, and independence

The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience supporting children with autism (ASD)
- Confident working 1:1 with pupils who may struggle in a mainstream classroom
- Understanding of sensory needs and regulation strategies
- Calm, patient, and proactive approach
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
