We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner (APNP) to join our dynamic Acute Paediatrics service. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician to work autonomously, lead advanced practice, and make a meaningful impact on the care of children and young people in a fast-paced acute setting.

About the Role
As an APNP in Acute Paediatrics, you will:
• Provide expert clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management of children presenting with acute illness.
• Work autonomously while collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team.
• Lead on clinical decision‑making, including prescribing and ordering/ interpreting investigations (as appropriate to your qualifications).
• Support service development, quality improvement, and evidence‑based practice.
• Contribute to education, mentorship, and development of junior staff and students.
• Participate in rota commitments, including evenings and weekends, to support 24/7 service delivery.
About You
You will be a confident, compassionate, and forward‑thinking practitioner with:
• A recognised Master’s level qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent).
• Independent prescribing qualification (V300) or working towards it.
• Extensive experience in acute paediatrics, emergency paediatrics, or paediatric critical care.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage complex clinical presentations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and teaching skills.
• A commitment to delivering high‑quality, child‑centred care.
