We are working with a well-established, privately owned building services consultancy with over 25 years’ experience delivering sustainable engineering design across London and internationally.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a proven background in UK building services consultancy to join their London team.
The Role
You will lead the design and delivery of mechanical (HVAC) building services systems across a range of projects, including commercial offices, high-end residential, and student accommodation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading mechanical design from concept through to completion
• Producing and reviewing calculations, specifications, and technical reports
• Designing in line with UK Building Regulations and CIBSE guidelines
• Using industry-standard tools such as Revit MEP and IES / Hevacomp (or similar)
• Managing project delivery, budgets, and timelines
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, architects, and project teams
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
Requirements (Essential)
• 5+ years’ experience in a UK building services consultancy
• Strong background in HVAC design for building projects
• Working knowledge of CIBSE guides and UK Building Regulations (Part L, etc.)
• Experience using Revit MEP and building performance tools (IES / Hevacomp or similar)
• Proven ability to manage projects and build client relationships
Desirable
• Chartered or working towards CIBSE / IMechE
• Experience delivering low-carbon / sustainable design solutions
