Are you passionate about making sure every voice is heard?

We’re looking for a motivated and compassionate team member to join us as a Wellbeing Engagement Worker. This is a fantastic opportunity to improve the mental health care experience and outcomes of those with a caring role in Suffolk, by supporting community development through the Wellbeing social model, focusing on the wellbeing of family carers.

As a Wellbeing Engagement Worker you will be employed by Suffolk Family Carers, but will be working as part of the Suffolk Wellbeing Service.

What you’ll be doing as a Wellbeing Engagement Worker

Working in partnership with Wellbeing Suffolk to provide wellbeing service provisions for family carers.

Develop and deliver a varied programme of community events and training across Suffolk

Work closely with local organisations, schools, services, and community groups

Promote the Wellbeing Service and Suffolk Family Carers to increase awareness and access

Build and maintain mailing lists and communication channels

Use feedback from participants and communities to shape future activity

Support connections with underserved communities

Keep accurate records of engagement, events and outcomes

Help identify gaps in service and contribute ideas for improvement


We are looking for someone who:

Can build positive relationships with people from all walks of life

Communicates clearly and confidently with different audiences

Can demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding legislation in relation to family carers

Can plan, organise and prioritise their workload

Has experience or knowledge of community engagement

Understands the challenges and experiences of family carers

Can travel across Suffolk (rural travel may be required)
