Little Stoke Primary School is looking for a committed, nurturing and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a fixed term role until August 2027 in the first instance, with the possibility of the contract being extended for the right candidate. The role will initially involve working in Year 5 and Year 2, supporting high‑quality teaching and learning, including pupils with SEND.

- Support pupils individually and in groups to access learning.
- Clarify instructions, support literacy and numeracy.
- Support pupils with SEND and contribute to EHCP reviews.
- Assist with resources, displays and organisation.
- Nurture pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development.
- Support breaktime supervision and off-site activities.
- Uphold safeguarding and statutory guidance.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- GCSE English and Maths (Grade C, or equivalent, or above).
- Experience working with children.
- Understanding of learning and pastoral support.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and multi-agency working.
- Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- NVQ or Foundation Degree in education.
- Experience supporting SEND, EAL or pastoral interventions.
- First Aid, coaching or mentoring skills.
- Forest School experience.
