We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial/QS Manager to support our PSPT Projects Team in driving commercially focused project delivery across multiple client accounts.
You will play a pivotal role in overseeing the commercial lifecycle of projects, ensuring robust cost management, accurate change control, and strong contractual governance.
With a clear emphasis on budget control and commercial risk management, this role provides the opportunity to directly influence project performance and outcomes.
Job Description
Working closely with the Projects Director and Head of Projects, you will act as the Commercial Subject Matter Expert for the business unit.
You will support Project Managers on all QS and commercial matters, lead on contract negotiations and dispute resolution, and oversee the efficient close-out of projects to final account stage.
The role requires a collaborative, partnership-driven approach when engaging with internal teams, clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
The role requires a full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel across the UK as needed to support project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial and QS support across PSPT project accounts, ensuring strong financial and budgetary control.
Manage contract solutions for both upstream (client) and downstream (supply chain) agreements.
Provide QS input into project cost proposals and pricing for works tendered with existing clients.
Support commercial/QS content for PSPT account bids, including renewals and new customer opportunities.
Act as the focal point for OneISS commercial governance processes and compliance.
Oversee financial and commercial data capture, reporting, and systems to meet best-in-class standards.
Manage and interpret industry-standard and client-specific contracts including JCT, NEC, and ISS Framework Agreements.
Offer leadership, guidance, and coaching to project and operational teams to strengthen commercial capability.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Qualified Quantity Surveyor.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiar with managing a lower-value, higher-volume portfolio of works.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships.
Ambition, drive, and a hands-on, delivery-focused approach.
Proven track record of delivering similar commercial/QS responsibilities in previous organisations.
In-depth knowledge of contracting within the Construction/FM industry.
Strong financial and commercial background in Quantity Surveying.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel UK-wide.
