    The Opportunity

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fabricator Welder (Heavy Gauge) to join a busy and well-established workshop in Kingswinford.

    This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and is confident handling heavy gauge fabrication up to 100mm thickness, with a strong background in MIG welding, plating, and working from detailed engineering drawings.

    You’ll be part of a skilled team delivering high-quality, large-scale fabrication projects.

    ️ Key Responsibilities
    • MIG weld heavy gauge steel up to 100mm thickness
    • Fabricate and assemble components from technical drawings
    • Carry out plating work including marking out, cutting, forming, and fitting
    • Ensure all work meets high quality and safety standards
    • Use workshop machinery and tools safely and efficiently
    • Inspect finished work for accuracy and finish
    • Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
      ✅ What We’re Looking For
      • Proven experience as a Fabricator Welder in heavy engineering
      • Strong MIG welding skills on thick materials
      • Ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings
      • Experience in plating and heavy fabrication
      • Good understanding of workshop practices and safety
      • Reliable, hardworking, and able to work with minimal supervision
        ⭐ Desirable (But Not Essential)
        • Experience in structural steel or large fabrications
        • Overhead crane or forklift licence
        • Previous experience in a fast-paced fabrication environment
