The OpportunityAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fabricator Welder (Heavy Gauge) to join a busy and well-established workshop in Kingswinford.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and is confident handling heavy gauge fabrication up to 100mm thickness, with a strong background in MIG welding, plating, and working from detailed engineering drawings.
You’ll be part of a skilled team delivering high-quality, large-scale fabrication projects.
ï¸ Key Responsibilities- MIG weld heavy gauge steel up to 100mm thickness
- Fabricate and assemble components from technical drawings
- Carry out plating work including marking out, cutting, forming, and fitting
- Ensure all work meets high quality and safety standards
- Use workshop machinery and tools safely and efficiently
- Inspect finished work for accuracy and finish
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
✅ What We’re Looking For- Proven experience as a Fabricator Welder in heavy engineering
- Strong MIG welding skills on thick materials
- Ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings
- Experience in plating and heavy fabrication
- Good understanding of workshop practices and safety
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work with minimal supervision
â Desirable (But Not Essential)- Experience in structural steel or large fabrications
- Overhead crane or forklift licence
- Previous experience in a fast-paced fabrication environment
