Summary
Please note the successful candidate for this position must undergo an enhanced DBS check with barred list. Additionally, there is a requirement for an additional criminal records check (or checks if more than one country) for anyone who has lived or worked abroad
• Provide the children with a safe, secure and home like environment
• Have a working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Operate a key person system and liaise with parents, carers, and senior staff
• Plan, organise and implement a programme of activities to meet the needs of this age group and each individual child’s needs and interests
• Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team.
• Contribute to good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness in the nursery
• Ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare and safety is promoted
• Respect the confidentiality of all information received and comply with the nursery’s equal opportunities policy
• Attend occasional out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents evening, etc
must have level 2 or 3 in child care. We are happy to look at part time hours
