Summary

JO Recruitment is seeking a patient, professional, and reliable Specialist 1-1 Invigilator to support a student with additional needs during the upcoming Summer 2026 exam season.

This is a unique opportunity to work outside of the traditional large exam hall. You will be assigned to a specific student in a private, quiet room to ensure they can perform to the best of their ability while adhering to strict JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations.

Key Responsibilities
• Word Processor (WP) Supervision: Monitoring the student as they use a laptop to type their exam; ensuring no unauthorised software, spell-check, or internet is accessed.
• Prompting: Providing gentle, quiet verbal or non-verbal cues to help the student stay focused and manage their time effectively (without providing any academic help).
• Administrative Oversight: Assisting the student with saving their work to a secure drive and supervising the printing of their final scripts at the end of the session.

What We Are Looking For
• Patience & Focus: The ability to remain attentive and supportive during 2-3 hour sessions.
• Basic IT Literacy: Comfortable overseeing the use of a laptop and basic saving/printing functions.
• Availability: You must be reliable and available for morning (approx. 8:30 AM) and/or afternoon (approx. 12:30 PM) sessions throughout May and June.

Note: We are committed to safeguarding. All candidates must undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references before starting
