Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Operative

We are looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team located in Halifax, offering services across Lancashire, Merseyside, Yorkshire and the Humber.

The successful candidate will perform Maintenance to Building Services.

Role Summary:

Due to the nature of the services we offer, we are looking for a multi-skilled engineer who has experience in ground work, plumbing and joinery.

- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues, supporting team members where required
- Decorating
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Knowledge and experience in like for like plumbing and joinery repairs
- Knowledge and experience in ground working, such as paving, ACO drainage, fencing, knee rail fencing, kerb installation, cold lay tarmac installation.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and completed work orders
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialised repairs or installations

Requirements:

- Proven experience in maintenance
- Strong maintenance knowledge and aptitude
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with staff and customers and address their concerns
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
- Identify and manage the risks to the client
- Support others in the department in relation to Health and Safety
- Follow Risk Assessments and be available to question any issues which arise from them safely and accurately
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Completion of the required documentation as specified with the requirements of all rules and legislation
- Use of emailing / calendars to plan your daily work requirements so that all tasks are completed effortlessly and efficiently.
- Liaise with onsite Site Services to manage any Building Services related issues, responding confidently and accurately as required
- To work overtime as and when the business requires, this may include nights and weekends to which notice may not always be given
- Perform adhoc duties as and when required
- Experience required
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel nationwide as required.
