My client is a well-established and growing business based in the heart of Colchester town centre, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services to our clients. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our friendly finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing a high volume of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
Matching, batching, and coding invoices
Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
Preparing and processing weekly and monthly payment runs
Handling supplier queries via phone and email
Maintaining accurate financial records and filing systems
Assisting with month-end procedures
Supporting the wider finance team as required
Requirements:
Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Good organisational and time management skills
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
AAT qualification (or working towards)
Experience in a fast-paced finance environment
