My client is a well-established construction-related business based in Clacton-on-Sea, providing products and solutions to contractors, builders, and commercial clients. Due to growth, they are seeking an ambitious and customer-focused Sales Specialist to drive new business and maintain strong client relationships in the construction sector.
The Role:
As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for generating leads, managing existing accounts, and promoting our products and services to construction professionals. This role requires a mix of office-based and field sales, providing excellent customer service and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within the construction sector
Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients
Providing product knowledge, technical advice, and solutions to customers
Preparing quotations, proposals, and presentations
Achieving and exceeding sales targets
Attending trade shows, site visits, and customer meetings as required
Collaborating with the internal team to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately
Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments
Requirements:
Proven sales experience, preferably in construction or related industries
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory
Technical knowledge of construction products is highly desirable
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
Previous experience with B2B account management in construction
Familiarity with CRM systems
