The Opportunity
We are working on behalf of a well-established, independent small animal practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing coastal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a GP vet looking to enjoy high-quality first opinion work in a supportive, non-corporate environment—without out-of-hours commitments.
Located just minutes from the seafront, this role offers genuine work-life balance, including protected lunch breaks and a manageable rota.
About the Practice
Our client is a multi award-winning, RCVS-accredited practice with a long-standing reputation for clinical excellence and employee satisfaction. Established in 1996, they have grown into a respected independent group with a strong local presence.
They operate a “one pet, one vet” approach, promoting continuity of care and enabling vets to build lasting relationships with clients and patients alike.
Facilities across their Rottingdean and Peacehaven sites include:
Digital radiography (including dental)
Ultrasound
In-house laboratory (including advanced diagnostics)
Dedicated operating theatres and prep areas
Modern dental and surgical equipment
The team consists of experienced vets, RVNs, and support staff, many of whom have been with the practice for several years.

This is a first-opinion GP position working with a varied caseload of small animals (cats, dogs, and small furries). The role will involve:
Consultations and case work-ups

The practice encourages clinical autonomy, allowing vets to make the best decisions for their patients without the pressure of targets.
