Summary
We have an exciting position available for a Memorial Mason/Factory Operative to join our team at Daynes Monumental based in Retford, Nottinghamshire.
Main Duties:
- Fixing memorials onsite in cemeteries and churchyards
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Creating memorials using sandblasting machinery with full training given
- Renovating memorials including use of polishing equipment and various power tools
- Using various factory machinery such as pillar drills and saws
The Person:
- Punctual
- Ability to work as part of a cohesive team and on own initiative
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to work in all weathers as some outdoor work required
- Manual handling experience
- Knowledge of granite (advantageous)
- Experience of using power tools (advantageous)
- Fork lift licence (advantageous)
This is a very busy role with a highly varied working day. The right candidate will have a strong working ethos and maintain the exceptional standards throughout our company.
The position available is very unique and has the potential to undertake qualifications under our governing body in order to progress your skills and career.
