We are excited to offer an excellent career starting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as an Information Governance Apprentice. You will complete a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship while gaining hands on experience within our Information Governance and Local Land Charges teams.
This role is perfect for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to learn about Local Government, Information Governance, or Digital Services while gaining hands‑on experience and support.
Duties of the role
As an Information Governance Apprentice, you’ll support the Council in managing information safely and accurately. You’ll help customers across phone, email, digital and face‑to‑face channels, assist with Local Land Charges searches, update digital records, and check property information using mapping tools. You’ll learn key data protection principles, handle sensitive information responsibly, support information governance queries, and use Microsoft 365 tools to stay organised and build strong digital skills.
Qualifications and skills required
To be successful in this role we expect you to be a keen learner and willing to learn from colleagues, accept feedback in a positive way, show initiative and contribute to developing process. Be able to take responsibility of your own work at the same time as being part of the wider team.
IT skills such as Microsoft Office would be beneficial. Training will be provided on internal systems.
