Summary
Production Supervisor
What you’ll do
You’ll be responsible for keeping production running smoothly day-to-day. This means organising people, materials, and equipment so everything is produced safely, on time, and to the right quality.
Key Responsibilities
-Plan and run the daily production schedule
-Organise staff, materials, and equipment to keep production efficient
-Lead, support, and motivate the production team
-Ensure staff are trained and working to the right standards
-Solve problems quickly when issues arise on the production floor
-Work with maintenance to keep equipment running properly
-Track daily performance (KPIs) and fix any issues
-Improve processes to reduce costs while maintaining quality and safety
-Carry out checks and audits to make sure procedures are followed
-Work with other teams to improve overall efficiency
Role Scope
-Manage up to 4 direct reports and oversee up to 40 people
-Make day-to-day decisions on how work is done
-Balance short-term production needs with longer-term improvements
-Plan operations over the next 1–3 months
What we’re looking for
-Strong leadership and people management skills
-Experience in a manufacturing environment
-Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure
-Good organisation and time management
-Confident communicator who can work with different teams
-Experience improving performance and developing staff
-Comfortable using IT tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
Desirable: Experience in clean room or electromechanical manufacturing
