Summary
Equipment & Facilities Engineer
Location: Huntingdon (occasional travel)
Shift: Nights
Training provided
Sunday: 12:00am – 6:00am
Monday–Thursday: 10:00pm – 6:00am
What you’ll do
You’ll maintain and improve production equipment and site systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
You’ll work with a variety of systems such as robotics, CNC machines, vacuum and laser systems, and facility services (air, gas, water, HVAC).
Key Responsibilities
-Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on equipment and facilities
-Complete preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks
-Respond to breakdowns and fix issues using structured problem-solving
-Record maintenance work and track performance trends
-Help improve equipment reliability and efficiency
-Work with teams to manage spare parts and support projects
-Follow health & safety procedures (including RAMS)
-Take part in an on-call rota when required
What we’re looking for
-Engineering qualification (minimum BTEC Level 3 – Mechanical or Electrical)
-Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or engineering environment
-Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-Good organisation and time management
-Basic IT skills (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
-Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems
Desirable (not essential)
-Experience with automation, robotics, or optimisation
-Knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance data
-Familiarity with HVAC or facility systems
-Experience with lasers, optics, or vision systems
