About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and dedicated Communication Support Worker (CSW) with a minimum of Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language (BSL) to work within a college environment. You will play a vital role in supporting Deaf or hearing-impaired students to access their education, ensuring inclusive and effective communication throughout their studies.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide BSL interpretation and communication support during lessons, tutorials, and college activities
- Adapt communication methods to meet the individual needs of the student
- Support understanding of course content, instructions, and discussions
- Work closely with teaching staff to promote an inclusive learning environment
- Assist with note-taking or clarification where required
- Encourage student independence and confidence in communication
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records in line with policies

Requirements
- Minimum BSL Level 3 qualification (essential)
- Experience working with Deaf or hearing-impaired individuals (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in an educational setting
- Professional, reliable, and flexible approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
