We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced SEN Tutors to provide 1:1 support across the Leicestershire area. The Role
As a 1:1 SEN Tutor, you will work closely with students who require additional support due to a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and other learning difficulties. You will deliver tailored sessions designed to engage, support, and build confidence in each learner.
Location
Tutoring may take place in learners' homes, schools, or local community settings across Leicestershire, depending on individual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised 1:1 tutoring sessions tailored to SEN students
- Support learning in core subjects such as Maths, English, and/or Science
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans
- Use creative and adaptive teaching strategies to meet diverse needs
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students
- Monitor progress and provide feedback where required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with SEN students (tutoring, teaching, or support roles)
- Strong understanding of different SEN needs ( ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
- Excellent communication and patience
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit individual learners
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
