We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to join our facilities team on a major government contract.
Working across multiple sites in South West London, you’ll deliver planned and reactive maintenance to ensure safe, compliant, and fully operational HVAC systems across a network of commercial buildings.
Job Description
This is a mobile role - all travel will be within the M25 – it’s ideal for someone with strong air conditioning and mechanical maintenance experience who enjoys variety, independence, and problem-solving.
You’ll carry out PPMs, reactive repairs, and system upgrades across a wide range of AC systems and associated plant – candidate must be multiskilled.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled PPMs and respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns across a range of commercial sites.
Fault find, diagnose, and repair a variety of systems including Splits, VRFs, AHUs, DX systems, and some central plant.
Support system upgrades and retrofit installations where required.
Produce quotations for remedial works and system replacements following service visits.
Accurately complete electronic F-Gas paperwork and ensure SharePoint/job system updates are maintained.
Work both independently and collaboratively with other engineers and subcontractors.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Proven experience as a mobile air conditioning or HVAC engineer working in commercial environments.
F-Gas Certification (C&G 2079 – Category 1) – essential.
NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (minimum requirement) – Level 3 preferred
18th Edition would be highly desirable.
Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 6 points).
Experience with VRV/VRF systems and basic electrical fault finding.
Strong understanding of mechanical building services and general HVAC plant.
