Gardening Supervisor/ Team Leader – Lead Our Friendly, Nature-Focused Team
We’re looking for an experienced Gardening Supervisor/ Team Leader to join our team, overseeing the care and development of sustainable gardens. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, mentoring a team and taking pride in creating gardens that flourish. You’ll combine hands-on horticultural expertise with leadership, supporting and guiding our gardening teams to deliver high-quality work for our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Gardening Supervisor, you will:
Lead and coordinate the gardening teams to maintain and improve a variety of private gardens
Allocate tasks, ensure work is completed to a high standard, and support colleagues on-site
Maintain positive relationships with customers and provide friendly horticultural advice
Support the development of sustainable, nature-friendly garden environments
Carry out horticultural tasks including grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting, pruning, weeding and caring for flower beds, shrubs, and trees
Use hand-held petrol and electric garden equipment safely and effectively
Maintain tools, machinery, and vehicles and ensure the team can work efficiently
Record work information using paper or digital systems
Foster a positive, collaborative team environment and support professional development of team members
Help to produce monthly/ seasonal blog posts on social media platforms for new and existing customers on seasonal gardening advice.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings experience, leadership, and enthusiasm to their work:
Strong plant knowledge and practical horticultural experience
Around 5+ years professional gardening experience, including supervisory or team-lead experience
Genuine interest in sustainable gardening and working with nature
Confidence in communicating with customers and colleagues
Ability to lead a team, motivate others, and manage multiple tasks on-site
Full UK driving licence
Positive attitude toward outdoor work in all seasons
