This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with plants, spending time outdoors, and creating gardens that flourish. You’ll work closely with a supportive team while also having the freedom to take ownership of your work. What You’ll Be Doing
As part of our gardening team, you will help maintain and improve a variety of gardens while building positive relationships with our customers. Your responsibilities will include:
Maintaining gardens to a high standard while ensuring each customer’s individual needs are met
Communicating with customers to understand their vision and offering friendly horticultural advice
Supporting the development of sustainable, nature-friendly garden environments
Carrying out a variety of horticultural tasks including grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting, pruning, weeding and caring for flower beds, shrubs, and trees
Using hand-held petrol and electric garden equipment safely and effectively
Maintaining tools, machinery, and vehicles so the team can work efficiently
Recording job information using simple paper or digital systems
Collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive, supportive team environment
About You
We’re keen to hear from people who bring both experience and enthusiasm to their work. The ideal candidate will have:
Strong plant knowledge and practical horticultural experience
Around 3+ years of professional gardening experience
A genuine interest in sustainable gardening and working with nature
Confidence communicating with customers and colleagues
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A full UK driving licence
A positive attitude towards outdoor work throughout the seasons
