Summary
We are a well-established industrial pipeline supplier based in Ashton-under-Lyne, supplying valves, pipework and fittings to customers across the UK. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis.
The successful candidate will report to the warehouse managers and play a key role in both our delivery operations and day-to-day warehouse activities.
Key Responsibilities
Your typical day might include:
Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently
Completing deliveries using our 7.5t vehicle
Ensuring accurate and timely deliveries to customers
Assisting with picking, packing, and general warehouse duties
Supporting wider warehouse operations as required
Requirements:
HGV Class 2 licence or standard driving licence with C1 entitlement/Grandfather rights (issued before January 1997)
Good knowledge of the local road network
Good level of physical fitness
Strong reliability and timekeeping
Good customer service and communication skills
Desirable:
Previous experience in a similar driver/warehouse role
Forklift licence (preferred but not essential)
Working Hours:
Full Time: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 (40 hours per week)
Part Time: 3 Days per week, 08:00 – 17:00 (24 hours per week)
Part time working days are negotiable but will be fixed once agreed.
