This role will deliver a clear and structured internal assurance programme, ensuring our governance activities are carried out with exceptional accuracy, consistency and professionalism.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can maintain strong and visible relationships with stakeholders, provide confident compliance leadership, and support the organisation in remaining audit-ready throughout the year.

Working closely with the Head of Reward & Compliance and our in-house Employment Law team, the role will help us navigate key legislative changes, including those arising from the Employment Rights Bill.

Manage assurance activity and monitoring across key P&C risk areas.

Work closely with the in‑house Legal Employment team and other internal experts on compliance matters.

Produce clear, consistent reporting on risk areas for stakeholders including the CLT.

Support People & Culture projects with compliance expertise, including upcoming Employment Rights Bill changes.

Respond promptly to internal and external audit requests and ensure ongoing audit readiness.

Manage compliance relating to minimum wage practices, right‑to‑work requirements, modern slavery, whistleblowing and sexual harassment prevention.

Track P&C business cases and maintain oversight of key people-related compliance metrics.

Previous experience in a similar compliance-focused role.

Background in compliance related to specific legislation (e.g., vetting/screening) is beneficial.

Auditing experience ideal but not essential.

Strong HR generalist experience with a passion for legislation and employment law may transfer well.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence working at management level.
