Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Bexley. This role involves working 1:1 with a pupil who requires additional support to access the curriculum and thrive in a classroom environment.

Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN), tailoring activities to their specific learning plan.
- Assist the Class Teacher in managing classroom behaviour and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Help the pupil engage with lesson content by simplifying instructions and using visual aids.
- Monitor and record the pupil's progress, providing regular feedback to the SENCO and parents.
- Support the pupil during break times and transition periods to ensure their safety and inclusion.

Essential Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting pupils with complex needs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a wider school team.
- Must hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
- Ability to adapt learning materials to meet the specific needs of the pupil.
