Summary

Hays are currently working with a Specialist SEND Primary School in Didsbury to recruit an enthusiastic, creative and committed KS2 Part‑Time Teacher to join their dedicated team on a temporary basis. You will work with a small class of 8 KS2 pupils with a variety of needs, delivering high‑quality learning experiences that are tailored, engaging and accessible.

This School is a vibrant, nurturing and inclusive setting dedicated to supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs. They pride themselves on providing personalised, child‑centred education that helps every learner thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.


Location: Didsbury
Contract: Part‑Time
Start Date: 20th April
Rate: Up to £230/day (dependent on experience & qualifications)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver inspiring, differentiated lessons for KS2 pupils with SEND.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists and SEN specialists to meet individual needs.
  • Create a positive, structured and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Contribute to individual learning plans, assessments and progress reviews.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
  • Support with personal care alongside another member of staff where required


What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND (desirable but not essential).
  • A creative approach to teaching and the ability to adapt lessons to individual needs.
  • Strong communication, teamwork and behaviour‑management skills.
  • A patient, compassionate and resilient attitude.
  • Willingness to support with personal care in a professional manner
  • An Enhanced Children's DBS on the Update Service or willingess to apply
