Summary
IUC/111 Forecasting and Capacity Planning Co-Ordinator
Working within the Integrated Urgent Care (NHS 111) Workforce Team, the Forecasting and Capacity Planning Co-ordinator is responsible for the production of patient demand forecasts, and capacity and budget plans in accordance with Trust requirements.
The role requires the post holder to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources in line with agreed planning periods, skills, contracted hours, budgetary constraints, and delivery of a safe service for patients.
The role also requires the post holder to ensure the best use of workforce planning tools and to provide advice on the future allocation of resources and budget within IUC Operations.
Working within the Workforce Team, the Forecasting and Capacity Planning Co-ordinator is responsible for the production of patient demand forecasts, and capacity and budget plans in accordance with Trust requirements. As a member of the Workforce Team, the role is expected to assist in the achievement of national and local performance targets, and quality standards for the Workforce Team.
The post holder will work on own initiative, taking advice from their manager as required with reviews of work.

Core Responsibilities:
• To analyse all capacity and demand components using appropriate techniques and tools, interpreting the outcomes, preparing reports, and providing solutions to facilitate operational decision making
• To provide statistical analysis and insight to support the impact assessment of change, and specifically, forecasting and scheduling effectiveness
• To use feedback from operations to support recommendations for ongoing process improvement and stronger, more value-adding engagement
• To engage with all members of the IUC Workforce team to ensure a fully joined-up coherent approach to delivering the resource planning cycle
