Main Purpose of the Job:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Hospitality & Catering professional to deliver high-quality vocational education to Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils.
This role is ideal for both experienced educators and industry professionals looking to transition into teaching.
You will inspire and support students to achieve their full potential by developing their practical skills, industry knowledge, and employability. Through engaging teaching and strong role modelling, you will help pupils gain recognised qualifications and progress successfully into post-16 pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality theoretical and practical lessons in Hospitality & Catering.
Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans aligned with curriculum expectations.
Create a stimulating, industry-relevant learning environment, simulating real workplace conditions where possible.
Use effective questioning and assessment strategies to address misconceptions and deepen understanding.
Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, ensuring accurate recording and meaningful feedback.
Ensure full compliance with awarding body requirements and internal verification processes.
Integrate English, Maths, Careers and SMSC into lessons where appropriate.
Use innovative and relevant ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
Organise employer engagement opportunities, enterprise activities and educational visits.
Work collaboratively with Workplace Mentors to support pupil progress.
Contribute to the wider teaching team, including administrative and occasional cover duties
