Summary
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established children's residential home for a Residential Support Worker to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young people and looking to progress within a supportive organisation that actively invests in staff development.
The service supports children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where they can thrive.
The Role
As a Support worker, you will be supporting young people in a mix of situations. You may be getting them prepped for school, taking them out for activities, and helping out around the house. You will ensure high standards of care are delivered, and act as a positive role model for both young people and colleagues.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs or vulnerable children
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Ability to lead shifts and support team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, resilient, and caring approach
