Role Overview: Kapwell Ltd is seeking a Part-Time Electrical Engineer to support ongoing engineering projects involving process equipment packages. The role will involve electrical design, documentation, compliance, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure reliable and safe system integration.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review electrical design documents, including: Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Wiring diagrams, Control panel layouts & Cable schedules
Support design and specification of: Motors, VFDs, and instrumentation interfaces
Control panels (PLC-based systems preferred) & Hazardous area (ATEX/IECEx) compliant equipment
Ensure compliance with relevant standards: IEC / BS / ATEX / UKCA requirements
Client specifications and project standards
Assist in vendor selection and technical evaluation of electrical components
Provide support during: Equipment fabrication and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) & Installation and commissioning (remote support or occasional site visits if required)
Interface with: Mechanical and process engineering teams & External vendors and clients
Review and support electrical aspects of proposals and technical submissions

Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in industrial/process engineering projects
Experience in oil & gas, process plants, or equipment packages preferred
Familiarity with:
- Control systems (PLC, basic automation)
- Hazardous area classification and equipment selection
- Electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar)

Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good communication and coordination skills
Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices
Problem-solving mindset

Working Hours & Flexibility:
Approx. 10 hours per week
