The Temporary Governing Body are seeking to appoint a committed, skilled and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant – Level 4 to join our team at Ysgol Cambrian. This role will play an important part in supporting high quality learning experiences for pupils across the school and contributing to our ambitious, inclusive and inspiring provision for children and young people with a wide range of additional learning needs (ALN).
The successful candidate will take responsibility for agreed learning activities under an established system of supervision. This will include planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, groups and, on occasion, whole classes, as well as monitoring, assessing and recording pupils’ progress. The postholder will also contribute to the development of a specialist area within the school and may have responsibility for the line management, deployment and support of other Teaching Assistants.
We are seeking an individual who can build positive, constructive relationships with pupils, promote independence, and respond sensitively to a wide range of needs. Strong organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, families and external professionals are essential. Experience of supporting pupils with ALN and delivering targeted interventions is highly desirable.
Experience of working with pupils who have additional learning needs (ALN) is essential.
